500th Appearance

At the end of Timsbury Athletic’s 4-2 home win against Castle Cary, the home side’s player manager Sam Gurner was presented with a Bristol Blue glass tankard to mark his 500th appearance for the club two weeks previously. Chairman Mike Passingham who handed over the gift congratulated Gurner on an outstanding achievement and thanked him for his continued commitment to the club.

During his Timsbury career Gurner has scored 235 goals and although injury has precluded him from many outings this season he has featured in the last two home matches where there has been an upsurge in the club’s fortunes.
