Conygre Hall Timsbury was the venue for an art exhibition that displayed the work of artists who have attended WEA classes run by tutor Deborah Chisman over the last year…
The drawing and painting sessions were for both beginners and intermediates.
An introductory course for beginners provided ideas, inspiration and information about drawing and painting materials and techniques. Throughout the year learners were given the opportunities to develop their skills and ideas through a series of projects designed to make the subject accessible and enjoyable.
Ms Chisman who has a studio in Frome where she does her own painting and teaches said, “ I have been thrilled with the standard of work that has been achieved this year. One of the aspects we looked at was the cubist movement which was new to many of the class”.
Another course begins at the Conygre Hall on September 12 and there are still a few places available in the beginners’ group. For more information contact Ms Chisman on 01373 300605.
