Pets Service

Animals of all shapes and sizes turned up for the morning service at St Mary’s Church Timsbury for a special pet service…

Village rector, the Rev Chris Hare and curate the Rev Candice Marcus individually blessed all the pets present.

The service was held inside the church due to the weather conditions and all the pets came into church and were very well behaved. The congregation brought a wide variety of pets, a 25 year old tortoise called “Wrinkles”, and kittens, cats, hamsters, dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, snails, woodlice and a caterpillar. The rector illustrated how faithful our pets are and this reflects God’s faithfulness to his people.
