Directories

Directories were published for many large towns from about 1800. A few decades later such publications were produced covering small towns and rural areas.

These Timsbury Directories generally provide a brief description of the village and then a listing of prominent residents and of the various tradesmen. We are fortunate to have a number of directories covering the period 1822 to 1935. The directories are very useful for providing information about individuals and the infrastructure of Timsbury over this period.
