It is possible to walk around the parish and see indications of its industrial past: the Miner’s Memorial Garden, the signs outside the Guss and Crook and Seven Stars pubs, the Lower Conygre and Withy Mills batches (spoil heaps) and the remains of the Somerset Coal Canal.
