Timsbury Athletic AFC

Timsbury Athletic was first recorded by Somerset F.A. as being formed in 1890 as two separate teams, Timsbury Ramblers and Timsbury Rovers. The only senior competition won was in the 1919-20 season, beating Yeovil & Petters (now Yeovil Town) in a play off match watched by over 2,000 spectators at Frome to win the championship of the Somerset Senior League.

 

The team now boasts three adult and five youth teams and is probably the largest regular organisation within the village.
