The Cheshire Home at Greenhill House Timsbury still have some places available for anyone who would like to run on their behalf in the Bath half –marathon on March 7. The Golden Bond places will require £41.75 registration and £175 sponsorship but time is rapidly running out with a February 5 deadline.
Amongst those already signed up to represent the organisation is Richard Bach , the great-nephew of Leonard Cheshire himself who will be running his first ever half-marathon. Kaoru Takayama, an overseas volunteer from Japan who works at Greenhill House is also taking part having run in the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon last October. The two will be joined by another runner Tim Birtwistle.
The runners will have plenty of support as residents of the Cheshire Home have booked in at the Carfax Hotel in Great Pulteney Street and will meet up with the participants after the race.
Anyone interested in representing the Cheshire Home should contact Christine Tedstone on 01213554358 or email Christine.tedstone@LCDisability.org.
