By now you willl have noticed the new look. This is thanks to a Timsbury resident Mr Tim Thorne, a Graphic Designer, who spent many happy(?) hours making the changes!
One of the improved areas is the History section. This is because of the involvement of Mr Larry Cunningham, a recently retired Deputy Head teacher, who is into history and has prepared most of the pages in the section. Larry also gets input from other Timsbury residents. The Parish Council, who sponsor the site, also gave permission for Larry to include extracts from the “Timsbury Book” now out of print and the last remaining copies sold (The last to someone in the USA!)
The News section has also been updated and now includes an Archive facility which means that once an article is published it will remain on the site for some considerable time. Many thanks to Malcolm Tucker who is the main provider of the news items.
A few organisations are now informing the webmaster of there forthcoming events by sending him copies of their posters by email (webmaster@timsbury.net) but not ENOUGH!! The webmaster still has to extract details from the newsletter or by borrowing posters from the Conygre Hall! If you want your event advertised FOC then please send an electronic version of your poster to him, preferably a jpg file, but he can cope with most formats. If your organisation has its own website and there is no link to it from the Timsbury Website then, once again, inform the webmaster who will insert it. For organisations with out a website its possible that they could maintain a page attached to their entry in the Organisations section to keep their members informed.
