Wine Circle A.G.M.

David Moreman was re-elected as chairman whenTimsbury Wine Circle held its AGM at the Conygre Hall. Graham Nicholls remains as Vice-Chairman, Ray James continues as treasurer and Wendy Treasure as secretary.

The chairman reflected on the last year and thanked all committee members and members for their support. It was announced that the Christmas meal will be at Cameley Lodge on 11th February. As it is the group’s 35th anniversary this year Mr Moreman asked members what they would like to do to celebrate. Lots of ideas came forward and  one which involved visiting a vineyard down in Cornwall and staying overnight seemed popular. He reflected on a good night out to see Evita at Bath’s Theatre Royal and thanked Ray James for organizing it.

The Ron Ward Inter-wine match and the Christmas dance had both gone well . The Wine Circle is now looking forward to the next  Ron Ward Inter-wine match dance/competition on Saturday March 3 at the Conygre Hall. Dancing is to Atlantic Crossing and tickets priced £7 are now available. Invitations have gone out to other wine circles for this. The group is looking forward to invites from Warmley for a wine tasting, and Bath for the Triathlon this year.

Timsbury Wine Circle meet on the second Wednesday of the month at the Conygre Hall and new members are always welcome. February will be an interesting night as it is a wine tasting of wine made by members.  The year’s programme can be found on the group’s website at www.timsburywinecircle.org.
